Necessary: Gross sales in October have been impacted by the hurricanes. The south area was down 27.7% year-over-year (“South” consists of Florida, the Carolinas and Georgia – states hit hardest by hurricanes Helene and Milton). Excluding the South, gross sales have been up about 8% year-over-year.
The Census Bureau reported New Residence Gross sales in October have been at a seasonally adjusted annual price (SAAR) of 610 thousand. The earlier three months have been revised down, mixed.
