Psilocybe ochraceocentrata mushrooms, a brand new species present in Zimbabwe and South Africa

Psychedelic mushrooms rising in southern Africa have been recognized as a brand new species that’s the closest relative of Psilocybe cubensis, essentially the most well-known magic mushroom species. The invention brings scientists a step nearer to understanding the evolutionary origins of those psychoactive fungi.
