Journey Canada has introduced it is going to be introducing two new-to-them vessels for the 2026 season and can function within the “world’s least visited and most amazing places” together with the Canadian Arctic, Greenland and the isles of the north Atlantic. The brand new vessels, Exploris One and Ocean Nova, have a capability of 144 and 78 company respectively. Journey Canada programming, service, and expertise will proceed to function expedition groups together with scientists, historians, cultural stewards, artists and musicians.

Working on each vessels will enable Journey Canada to supply extra journeys in 2026 and past. Key issues in choosing each vessels included evaluation of their carbon footprint and environmental influence, confirmed observe file of security and expertise working in ice and Arctic situations, and visitor consolation and capability.
Exploris One
Exploris One, a vessel with capability for 144 company and operated by Silversea Cruises till 2023, was purpose-built for expedition journey in 1989, making it well-suited for polar environments and comfy exploration. In 2026 Journey Canada will supply the next expeditions aboard Exploris One: Spirit of Scotland (previously Scotland Slowly), Scotland, the Faroe Islands, & Iceland: North Atlantic Saga, Iceland Circumnavigation, Iceland to Greenland: Within the Wake of Vikings, Into the Northwest Passage, Out of the Northwest Passage, and Greenland and Wild Labrador: A Torngat Mountains Journey.
Ocean Nova
Objective in-built 1992 for Greenland’s icy waters, Ocean Nova was designed for expedition journey. Constructed for effectivity, perform, and an intimate expertise, the ship has 45 visitor cabins, a restaurant, absolutely geared up health club, library, and panoramic statement lounge. One of many vessel’s highlights is its open decks. With a shallow draft and easy accessibility with a fleet of eight zodiacs, company will spend extra time exploring and fewer time ferrying from ship to shore.
