MMT and Ministry of Tourism Collaborate on ‘India: The Homecoming’ Marketing campaign
In celebration of India’s 78th Independence Day, MakeMyTrip (MMT) has partnered with the Ministry of Tourism to launch a particular marketing campaign titled ‘India: The Homecoming.’ This initiative is designed to encourage the Indian diaspora around the globe to reconnect with their roots and expertise the transformation of their homeland.
The marketing campaign facilities round an evocative on-line movie, narrated by the legendary Gulzar Saab, which fantastically captures India’s progress and cultural richness. The movie’s message, “कितना हुआ है इन दिनों बदलाओ तो देखो, तुम अपने घर में लौट कर आओ तो देखो,” (kitna hua hai inn dino badlav toh dekho, tum apne ghar mein laut kar aao toh dekho), invitations viewers to witness the adjustments in India by returning dwelling.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Tourism & Tradition, emphasised the significance of this marketing campaign, stating, “We call upon the Indian diaspora across the globe to take a trip back home and experience Incredible India in all its richness. This initiative aims to make the Indian diaspora ambassadors of Incredible India through the Chalo India initiative.”
Rajesh Magow, Co-founder & Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, expressed his enthusiasm for the marketing campaign, saying, “By showcasing India’s beauty, diversity, and heritage, we hope to inspire pride and nostalgia among the global Indian community, encouraging them to visit and explore their homeland.
