Pitt, together with British actor Damson Idris, have been current at a number of 2023 F1 races – together with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone – for filming.
Apple Unique Movies and System 1 launched a joint assertion on Tuesday confirming a world launch date of 25 June 2025, with the film’s North American launch date two days later.
“The movie is a landmark for the sport and cinema, filmed in real-time during grands prix around the world and involving the Formula 1 community, including all 10 teams, the drivers, the FIA and race promoters,” the assertion stated.
“The brand new function movie is about within the exhilarating and cinematic world of System 1 and can immerse audiences within the spectacle of the preferred annual sports activities collection, celebrating the ability and heroism of the drivers whereas showcasing the unimaginable problem of competitors in System 1.
“The function will see Brad Pitt star as a former driver who returns to System 1, alongside Damson Idris as his rookie team-mate at APXGP, a fictional crew on the grid, battling in opposition to the game’s drivers and groups.
“Production of the movie, which began in 2023, will continue at this year’s British Grand Prix and at several other races, and complete at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December.”
Hamilton: Actual-speed filming will blow individuals away
Seven-time world champion Hamilton has been on board with the challenge since its early days and lately defined why he’s anticipating the challenge to wow viewers.
“Racing movies, I feel like it’s very, very hard to capture them,” Hamilton stated throughout his look on YouTube collection Scorching Ones.
“You know, each year you have to do filming (where) you’re following a truck that has a camera on the back, so it’s hard to catch that capture the speed.
“You realize, you possibly can’t have a truck following filming us at 200 miles an hour, so it is all form of faked at a slower velocity and so they velocity it up. However that is all real-time, actual velocity.
“I think if you go back to like Steve McQueen, for example, back then they would have men laying on the front of the car with the camera, you know, like, or have a big camera on top of the helmet, where now we’ve got all this amazing new technology.
“So I really feel like Joe (Kosinski) truthfully, I feel he’ll blow individuals away.”
